John is a Senior Consultant with October Three’s Annuity Services Practice and works with sponsors of retirement plans and their advisors for the efficient management and settlement of benefit obligations. For over 25 years John has helped engineer and implement safe, cost-efficient, strategies for liability defeasance. He views each client, regardless of size, as an opportunity with unique challenges which are best served with customized solutions. He brings a strong foundation in accounting and finance which experience helps provide clients with a more complete understanding of the advantages of well-designed and executed retirement plan settlement strategies. At the end of the day, John always remembers how his actions will have a direct impact on plan participants. This responsibility drives him to always work in the plan participant’s best interest.

Prior to his long tenure in retirement plan consulting, John founded a national company which re-manufactured and retrofitted machine tools. Served as the CFO of a medium sized manufacturing firm and also a Division Controller with a Fortune 500 company.

John is a Stephen Minister who works with people in times of crisis. As a United States Marine, he also meets with newly graduated “stand alone” Marines whose families are unable to attend graduation ceremonies, offering praise before they embark on service. John has a BBA from Temple University and holds a life and health insurance license in his home state of South Carolina.
