Mark Shields is a member of the defined benefit plan administration team and is the partner in charge of that unit. Mark has 25 years of experience working with retirement plans and leads our efforts to radically change the way defined benefit plans are maintained and administered. Prior to joining October Three, he was Director of Defined Benefit Conversions at JP Morgan Retirement Plan Services. Mark has a wide variety of retirement plan experience, including administration and implementation project management, compliance reviews, data integrity analysis, and total rewards communication. Having managed both ongoing administration and implementation projects for clients in various market sizes and industries, Mark brings vast experience to clients regarding streamlined administration utilizing October Three’s cutting-edge technology and ideas to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant delivery.

Mark is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and a former Board Member of the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS). He received a B.S. in mathematics and an M.B.A. from Baylor University.
