Tom Miano is a Partner and a senior member of the actuarial consulting team. For much of the last 25 years, Tom has served as the head actuary for AT&T where he led teams and projects related to retirement plan design, bargaining, accounting and financing issues as well as other postemployment benefit valuations. Tom was responsible for coordinating both national and international accounting and disclosure information as well as extensive strategic involvement on many corporate acquisitions over the past two decades. Tom’s scope of work has spanned both qualified and nonqualified pensions and post retirement medical programs and has included extensive financial forecasting to meet the demands of globally diverse clients. He believes that corporations need to fully understand the full array of retirement programs available to address their changing workforce.

Tom joined October Three in 2016. He has over 25 years of experience and was previously a Partner with Aon Hewitt and a Managing Director at JPMorgan. Tom is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and an Enrolled Actuary (EA) under ERISA. He received a B.S. in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
