Sarah Wright is a member of the actuarial consulting team and a member of the Flexible Deferral Plan practice. She is a nationally recognized expert on hybrid retirement plans. Sarah serves clients in the areas of actuarial consulting related to qualified and nonqualified plans, plan design, benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions, and coverage and nondiscrimination testing. Sarah has over 25 years of experience in the field of retirement consulting and has worked with clients in the legal industry her whole career.

Prior to joining October Three, Sarah opened the New York office of CCA Strategies in 2005 and continued with the remainder of that organization through multiple acquisitions and mergers. Prior to CCA, she spent seven years with The Segal Company in New York. Before that, Sarah worked as a consulting actuary in Boston.

Sarah graduated with honors from Wellesley College with a B.A. in mathematics. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Sarah’s speaking engagements include the American Bar Association Tax Section, the Enrolled Actuaries Meeting, the Conference of Consulting Actuaries’ Annual Meeting, and the Massachusetts Bar Association Professional Education Program.

Sarah’s professional activities include being a member of the Pension Liaison Group of the IRS Brooklyn Key District (1992-1998; 2010-current), being elected to the Society of Actuaries’ Pension Section Council (2001-2004, Chair 2003-2004), and serving on the American Academy of Actuaries’ Pension Committee (2005-2010).
